Basic services will always be free for individual golfers. We do offer premium (paid) services to our professional partners, providing sustainability for the site.
Golf80 is commited to data openess. We do not lock you in our system when you have entered all your scores here. We aim to keep you as a happy user by providing the absolutely best service available. If you will be happier using another golf service provider - we will provide you with your golfdata int any generic format you prefer.
We have a simple policy when it comes to privacy - we assume you are ok with other people seeing your scores and statistics. We have however - built "hiding option" functionality into the system - which we will activate if we get the feeling that users want to keep their scores to themseleves (and mayby their friends)
This option has been activated for tournaments and leagues - so you can keep your tournaments and leagues for yourself.
The only required sensitive information we keep is your email address. For those selecting username+password login (v.s. social media login), we keep your password encrypted but do however recommend that you do not use your most secure passwords for a social site like Golf80.
The Golf80 team takes data security and integrity very seriously. We do however realize that we cannot prepare for everything, and in the case of unforseen events that compromises our safety and security plans - we do not take responsibility for your data.

The only non-golf-related information is collected by Golf80 without your explicit information entry is your email.
No! We are not in the business of selling your information to others.
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser.
Golf80 stores a cookie to be able to automatically log you into the site when you revisit. In your settings, you can disable this option. The cookie is cleared/deleted when you press the "Logout" link.
Golf80 does not store any sensitive personal information other than your name and email. We take appropriate measures to securely store and protect your details.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.
We first set your account as "Unregistered" - which means that you will not be able to login or visit - we delete your sensitive personal information, such as username, email, password - but keep your social media referenece and scores alive in case you decide to visit us a again. Unregistered users do not receive any notifications from Golf80.
After keeping the account for 6 months we delete scores and information to the point that we keep scores that are a part of leagues and tournaments which do still exist. At this point we can't recover all your scores or account settings.
Sometimes we send offers to selected groups of Golf80.com users on behalf of other businesses. When we do this, we do not give that business your name and email. If you do not want to receive such offers, please adjust your communication preferences.

Our business changes, and our privacy policy will also change. Unless stated otherwise, our current privacy policy applies to all information that we have about you and your account.
